"Natural Protection"

This series of paintings is a poetic exploration of nature’s quiet strength and resilience. Each canvas captures the essence of plants—not by detailing their features but by celebrating their negative space. Through abstract compositions, the silhouettes of monstera leaves, strelitzias, and other plants emerge, as if gently revealing themselves from the vibrant, layered background.
Using a mixed-media technique of collage, spray paint, and acrylic, I sought to reimagine the relationship between presence and absence. The vibrant textures and bold colors fill the space around the plants, creating a contrast that invites the viewer to focus on what is not painted: the shape of the plant itself. This negative space becomes the protagonist, proving that even in silence, nature speaks volumes.
These artworks are a tribute to the quiet power of plants, their ability to adapt, thrive, and transform their surroundings. Just as plants breathe life into our world, this series aims to breathe life into your space—reminding us of the beauty that exists in the balance between what is seen and unseen, what is said and unsaid.
